This Privacy Policy explains how FFLPowered.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our members-only advertising marketplace for licensed firearms dealers (the “Platform”). The Platform is a business-to-business service intended for licensed FFL dealers, not consumers.
1. Information we collect
- Account and business information — business name, contact name, email, phone number, state, and account credentials (stored in hashed form).
- Licensing information — your FFL number and the license documents you upload for verification.
- Addresses — your ship-to (FFL premises) and billing addresses.
- Listings and content — the inventory you advertise, photos, descriptions, build details, and the transaction figures and reviews you record.
- Usage, analytics, and device data — pages viewed, how visitors arrive (such as a search engine, another website, or a marketing link), a general location estimated from the internet (IP) address of a visit, features used, and limited technical data used for security and rate-limiting. This is collected in aggregate to improve the Platform and our outreach; we do not use advertising cookies and do not track you across other websites.
- How you found us — when you create an account, we record how you reached us (such as the marketing campaign identifiers in the link you used, and the referring website) and store it with your business account, so we can measure which outreach efforts reach licensed dealers.
- Communications — messages you send us and your alert preferences.
- Payment information — when billing is enabled, payment details are collected and processed directly by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use information
- Verify FFLs and operate the account and verification process;
- Provide the marketplace — publish listings, power search, boosts, transactions, reviews, and saved-search alerts;
- Provide AI-assisted features (listing drafting, search, and market-value estimates);
- Send transactional and alert emails and text messages you request;
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- Process payments and administer memberships and fees;
- Analyze and improve the Platform.
3. How we share information
- With other dealers, as part of the service — your active listings, business identity, and reviews are visible to other verified members. Your FFL license document is shared with another dealer only when you choose to share it using the license-sharing feature.
- With service providers — vendors that host the site, send email and text messages, provide AI capabilities, and (when enabled) process payments, each acting on our behalf.
- For legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of FFLPowered.com, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your FFL documents
Uploaded license documents are stored privately, outside the public web, and are served only to authorized parties: you, our reviewers, and any dealer you explicitly grant access to through license sharing. They are not indexed publicly or shown in the marketplace.
5. Third-party services
We rely on reputable providers to run the Platform, which may include cloud hosting and database services, an email delivery provider, a text-message (SMS) provider, an AI provider for our AI features, and a payment processor when billing is enabled. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.
We also use a privacy-respecting, cookieless web-analytics service to understand, in aggregate, how the Platform is used and how visitors find us. It does not use advertising cookies, does not track you across other websites, and estimates only a general location (such as country, U.S. state, or city) from the IP address of a visit; we do not use this to identify you personally, and we do not sell your information.
6. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Verification and audit records may be retained to document our review process. You may request deletion of your account as described below, subject to records we are required or permitted to keep.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including hashed passwords, access controls on license documents, and rate-limiting on sensitive endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
- Review and update your account information at any time on your Account page;
- Manage or turn off saved-search email/text alerts;
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing us.
9. Children
The Platform is intended solely for licensed firearms businesses and the adults authorized to operate them. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
